Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery features gay detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) solving another mystery surrounded by a brilliant acting ensemble playing insufferable rich people. Janelle Monae also stars. It was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay. Streaming on Netflix.
Tom Cruise's Top Gun sequel was nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture. It also gave Lady Gaga her third Oscar nomination for Best Original Song for "Hold My Hand." Streaming on Paramount+.
Brendan Fraser was nominated for his first Oscar for playing a 600-pound gay man in this Darren Aronofsky film. It's not yet available on streaming.
This Belgian film is up for Best International Feature Film. It centers on two thirteen year old boys who grow intimate over summer vacation. When they return to school, their relationship faces scrutiny and the two have to figure out if they can remain close. Close is not currently streaming in the US.
