Telfar x White Castle
In celebration of Telfar's new unisex uniform for White Castle's 400+ locations and 10,000 team members nationwide, the New York-based brand has released a special capsule collection in collaboration with the iconic fast food chain.
At its core, the launch is a reflection of designer Telfar Clemens realizing the American dream, having gone from Liberia to LeFrak City, Queens to Paris--from White Castle customer to their uniform designer and, now, a finalist for the esteemed Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund.
The capsule was revealed this weekend at a party in Brooklyn, where Venus X, Total Freedom and Joey LaBeija all DJed, and Dev Hynes performed a duet with Ian Isiah. Telfar's surprise guest, Cam'ron also made a surprise appearance, rapping onstage for thousands.
Sales from the limited edition collection will go to the Robert F Kennedy Human Rights Liberty and Justice fund to bail minors off Rikers Island, NYC's main jail complex in the Bronx. With Telfar's soon-to-be legendary logo mashed with White Castle's, the release is a perfect bridge of fashion and culture.
