Law Roach says he is ready for lights, camera, action! He's just waiting for a director to cast him in something.

On the red carpet last week at the InStyle Imagemaker Awards, Variety celebrity journalist Marc Malkin asked the stylist to the stars about when he plans to go from dressing Hollywood to being a part of it, on screen.

Roach, whose A-list clients include Zendaya, Kim Kardashian and Celine Dion, said Thursday night that he’s “absolutely” ready to try some acting.

“When a director sees something for me,” said Roach, “I want to try everything. If I’m terrible at it, at least I tried.”

Considering that he's already had cameos playing himself in The Devil Wears Prada 2 and in a Netflix sitcom starring Kate Hudson, Running Point, and that he has also served as reality television judge on Legendary, America’s Next Top Model, Project Runway and RuPaul’s Drag Race, Malkin asked Roach if he has gone so far as to take any acting lessons, to formally learn the craft.

"I have not," he said. "I don't have time for that."

Since he has worked with, in Malkin's words, "some of the greatest actors of all time," the journalist asked Roach about whether he'd leaned on them for any advice. “I have worked with some of the great actors of all time. I’ve also worked with some of the greatest singers of all time, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to try to sing,” Roach joked in response.

On Sunday night at the 2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Roach told E! News he's actually discussed his acting ambition with one famous client: Zendaya.

"She said, 'Acting is reacting,'" he said, "and when she told me, I was like, 'Oh, I understand that because you're reacting to what the other person is giving you.'"

But how serious is Roach about making a career pivot? "Nothing I'm taking super serious," he said, at the moment. "I would love to try," Roach explained. "But if someone says like, "Oh, I got a role for you, Law,' I'm not gonna say 'no' to it."

So what is his dream role, he was asked? "I'm more of an improv type, so my ultimate goal one day is to host Saturday Night Live," revealed Roach. "I just love improv and I think that's what I'm really good at."

Then the designer spoke on behalf of Zendaya, saying the actress deserves to take a break following her whirlwind year: Promoting The Odyssey, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and The Drama, on top of getting married to co-star Tom Holland.

"Zendaya is busy," Roach said. "She's had a lot this year. Y'all, give my sister a break. Let her rest. Let her live for a second."

Next up for Roach and Zendaya is Dune: Part Three, set to hit theaters in December.

"She is preparing for the Dune 3 press tour, so am I," Roach added. "So, she's resting."

But Roach is not resting. He told E! News he's busy styling Kim Kardashian.

"She's incredible—just sweet, nice, happy," Roach said. "I love working with happy. Everyone I work with now are happy, and I'm happy. I just love being in a happy place."
