1. K.D. Lang will make her Broadway debut next year in the ongoing jazz musical After Midnight. American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino has been the second guest headliner for the show, which centers around Duke Ellington's years at Harlem's Cotton Club. Lang's limited engagement performance will begin February 11 and continue through March 9.

2. During a concert last night in Sao Paulo, a fan accosted Beyonce during her "Irreplaceable" number. According to NME, the chart-topping artist left the main stage and took a smaller "Bey Stage" on the Morumbi Stadium floor. While she was performing, a shirtless man attempted to pull her into the crowd. Security came to her aid, removed the man and Beyonce continued the show. NME has the video.

4. Stephen Crohn, who helped further the study of AIDS, died at 66. In 1996, The Independent called him "The Man Who Can't Catch AIDS" and Crohn told his story in documentary films and newspaper interviews around the world. He died August 23, according to his sister, who confirmed the death and that it was a suicide.

5. Playwright Kyle Jarrow and producer Michael London are collaborating on a new drama about a trans teenager for The CW. London is known as the producer of the Harvey Milk biopic, Milk. ZE is described as a raw, quirky family drama about a FTM (female-to-male) teen and his family.

6. OUTLoud: Oral History from LGBTQ Pioneers is seeking financial backing via Kickstarter. With a goal to capture and preserve first-hand, oral histories from significant, surviving LGBTQ pioneers, Christopher Street Press has launched a donor appeal with the hope of raising an initial $9,000 in seed money within the next 60 days to fund its first phase.
