Congratulations! The Bears Behind Costello Tagliapietra Got Married!

Time and time again we're advised to not judge books by their covers. In no place is this clearer than with the womenswear label Costello Tagliapietra, helmed by Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra. Together the pair have created collections that are both feminine and languid -- often noted for its wearability, clever use of color, and sophisticated construction. "Our only aim is to make women beautiful," they told us back in 2009. The design duo also happens to be comprised of two burly, bearded bears who have a penchant for lumberjack plaid and suspenders. Not only are they business partners -- Costello and Tagliapietra, who met at Parsons School of Design in 1994, are life partners as well. Today, the dude duo made honest men out of each other by making it official at New York's City Hall.
