Lanvin Designer Alber Elbaz Talks Fashion With Suzy Menkes

Okay, we know that ever since the Lanvin for H&M collaboration was announced, it seems like we only have Lanvin on the brain. And it's sort of true. But this video of Suzy Menkes interviewing Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz from The Moment was too too too delicious to pass up! Some of our favorite quotes are below:

On his "relationship" with Lanvin founder Jeanne Lanvin: "She was, maybe, the first designer to understand that women have lives...we're still married. My mother would love to hear that I'm married to Jeanne!"

On how he approaches design with a "heritage" brand: "I'm more into evolution than revolution."

On his collaboration with H&M: "I think I turned into a Brad Pitt in the internet. I feel so, so famous. It's quite bizarre for me." "I wanted to see the relationship between high fashion and fast fashion." " We need newness, but we need to know where we're coming from."

On his motto: "She [his mother] said 'Be big in your work, but small and simple and modest in your life.' So that's my heritage."

And the end is so effing cute with him making a Barbra Walters reference! Love it!
