The Equality Across America website has info on Amtrak and Greyhound discounts as well as special groups organizing cheap shuttles from areas including: Albany, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Connecticut, New York, Florida, Houston, Michigan, Philly, Western Mass, Providence, Rochester, Minnesota, Tennessee and Madison.
For Baltimore, Boston, Philly and New York residents, Bolt Bus offers affordable $20 tickets for travel departing on Sunday morning.
The march begins at noon on Sunday and the rally will start at approximately 2 pm on the lawn of the US Capitol. Most of the transportation options do not require an overnight stay, just maybe a little extra effort and an early start to get to DC by noon.The site does however offer links to special hotel and transpo-combo deals.
And if you're a sucker for a celebrity: not only will Lady Gaga and the entire cast of HAIR be on stage that day, the following are just a few of the folks who are on board with the march and want you to attend:
