Charli XCX Debuts New Single, "Break the Rules"
One of the things we love about Charli XCX is her "ride or die," party girl persona. She was totally the kid who cut gym to smoke cigs behind the bleachers and -- let's be real -- at one time or another we all wanted to be that kid.
Charli's just revealed "Break The Rules," a cut off her upcoming second LP, Sucker. Lyrics like "Going to the discotheque/ Getting high and getting wrecked" and the driving guitar and synth riffs and thumping percussion infuse the track with a feeling of youthful rebellion that will either may you wistful for the days of sneaking into shitty bars with your older brother's I.D. or bring up memories of you bringing up Bacardi the morning after. Either way you should be getting excited.
"Sucker" comes out October 21 on Neon Gold/Atlantic Records.
