Westboro Baptist Church Hates Radiohead

Radiohead-westboro-main

The antigay religious group shows up to protest at a Kansas City show.

Members of The Westboro Baptist Church are normally found picketing outside Pride events, spreading hatred on TV, and spewing vitriol at gays (courtesy of God, of course) from the streets--you know, exactly the sort of things that Jesus would want them to be doing (insert eyeroll here). However, now they've focused their hateful attention on alt-rock band, Radiohead. According to Pitchfork, during their Kansas City performance, the band was met by protesters from the Topeka, Kan., hate group. In an open letter on their site, they call Radiohead out for being "freak monkeys with mediocre tunes." Mediocre tunes? Since when is the WBC an expert source for indie music reviews? The letter goes on to state:

"You try to get the people to look at the nonsense and not at the wrath of God that abides upon them. 'Look at the circus monkey over there and the fluffy setting, blah, blah...' Meanwhile, God is undoing this nation and effecting all of your lives, with the moth that quietly eats the very fabric of your national garment. Radiohead is just such an event."

It seems that not only does God hate fags, the holy diety also has a strong dislike for elctronic music. And don't even ask Him to weigh in on Lady Gaga's album Born This Way. An undisclosed source told us that He thinks it's derivative and lacking in melodic hooks.
