Premium first-class flight? Check. Sleek sports cars? Check. Jealous socialites? Check. Skeptical, intimidating mother of your boyfriend? Mega check. The first trailer for Crazy Rich Asians has those and the rest of the makings of a contemporary rom com all set in the world of the Singapore elite.

Based on the bestseller by Kevin Kwan, the story follows Nick (Henry Golding) as he plans to take his relationship with Rachel (Constance Wu) to the next level by introducing her to his family. The snag comes when Nick also has to come clean with Rachel about how well-off his family is, and we're not talking summer house in the Hamptons well-off. Rachel is thrust into a world of Asian billionaires where Nick's mother (Michelle Yeoh) isn't the only one who disapproves of their relationship. Thank god Rachel has the likes of Awkwafina to talk her up. Watch, below.
