Kevin Bacon Says 'Drag Is a Right' & Praises New Drag Race Rusical

The Footloose actor is living for the latest Rusical on RuPaul’s Drag Race.

“You won’t get any dancing here, it’s illegal.”

Footloose legend Kevin Bacon has spoken out against the recent anti-drag bills being introduced in many states across the U.S. following the recent “Wigloose” Rusical performed on season 15 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

The actor wrote in an Instagram story:

“Big shoutout to [RuPaul’s Drag Race’s] “Wigloose: The Rusical” (and props to Heaven Bacon [Loosey LaDuca]). With all the recent anti-drag bills, this came at just the right time. Drag is an art and drag is a right.”

The Rusical, which was obviously inspired by Footloose, featured performances from Loosey LaDuca as Heaven Bacon, Anetra as Mama Bacon, Mistress Isabelle Brooks as Preacher Teacher, Sasha Colby as Carl, Luxx Noir London as Christian, and Salina EsTitties as Tuck.

LaDuca got a special shoutout from Bacon in the Instagram story, and then got a follow-up message from him on Twitter. After the queen tweeted a screenshot of her profile getting tagged in Bacon’s Instagram Story, the actor replied:

“Can’t stop talking about Heaven Bacon!”

Anetra was ultimately deemed the winner of this week’s maxi challenge, but all of the queens got praised by the judges for their stellar performances in this basically flawless Rusical. Overall, Drag Race fans are already considering “Wigloose” as one of the best Rusicals of all time.

It seems like Bacon was also a huge fan of this new Rusical – and we stan an outspoken ally!

RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 airs Fridays on MTV.
