Two-time NBA Champion Lamar Odom, who played in more than 960 pro basketball games over 14 seasons, has come out of retirement with a swish, launching a new career as the first former major NBA player to join OnlyFans. Odom announced this Wednesday in a social media post on X and shared a link to his account on the adult subscription platform.
"Hit me up on OnlyFans!!! LETS CHAT!" said Odom in the caption of a photo showing him shirtless in a pool, along with emojis of a basketball, a splash of water and a smiley face with a tongue sticking out.
In an interview with TMZ, the 46-year-old former athlete from Queens, N.Y. told subscribers to expect the unexpected.
“A little bit of everything, some surprises, and maybe a few things you wouldn’t expect from me,” said Odom. “People hear OnlyFans and automatically think one thing, but I’m not here to tell you what you will or won’t see,” he told TMZ. “I’ve lived a pretty wild life, and trust me, there are still a few surprises left."
Subscribing to Odom's account costs $14.99 per month. Odom says on the site: "You’ve seen me on the court. You’ve seen me on TV. Now get to know the REAL me. A little more personal. A little more playful. And a side of Lamar you haven’t seen before."
He told TMZ: "I've always been an open book, but there are some chapters people haven't seen yet."
One well-known chapter of Odom's life is that he is the ex-husband of Khloe Kardashian, a celebrity romance that just happened to also make him Caitlyn Jenner's son-in-law until their divorce a decade ago. The couple split in 2013 following their participation in the reality TV spinoff series, Khloé & Lamar. Kardashian put divorce proceedings on hold to stay by Odom's side and make critical medical decisions during his recovery after lapsing into a coma from a near-fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel in October 2015.
As The Advocate reported in 2016, Odom was somehow unaware of the news that Jenner had come out as transgender in 2015 and had to be helped to understand her transition by his then sister-in-law, Kim Kardashian.
He was also linked to out transgender actress and model Daniiellè Alexis four years ago, when photos Alexis posted of herself with Odom sparked rumors the two were dating, according to Pink News. A source told TMZ that the pair knew each other and were friendly, but not dating, and added Odom has “no problems with the transgender community.”
Currently Odom is dating real estate agent Rachel Bradley, who has also started an OnlyFans page. TMZ reported there's the potential for the couple to provide video content together, but that's not been confirmed by either Odom or Bradley.
The OnlyFans announcement is the biggest headline for Odom since his arrest for DUI in Las Vegas earlier this year. Odom pleaded no contest in July, court records show. The plea resolved the DUI charge Odom faced after his January arrest, according to court records. A judge imposed a suspended 30-day jail sentence and was ordered to stay out of trouble, complete DUI school, attend a victim impact panel and perform 67 hours of community service in place of a $1,000 cash bond. The court credited Odom with two days served, which satisfied a two-day jail sentence, according to FOX5 Vegas KVVU-TV.
Up until his arrest, Odom is perhaps most known for his career with the Los Angeles Lakers, with whom he won back-to-back NBA championships in 2009 and 2010 and earned the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award for the 2010–2011 season. In 2011, Odom joined Lakers captain Kobe Bryant and fellow players Shannon Brown, Pau Gasol, and Ron Artest in recording a video message to fans denouncing bullying and defamatory language at the Staples Center, as The Advocate reported.
Odom also played for the Clippers, Heat, and Mavericks.
As TV Insider reported, Odom is just the latest prominent name in sports to join OnlyFans, including Olympic bronze medalist Alysha Newman, combat sports star Paige VanZant, and tennis player Nick Kyrgios.
