Meet the Designer Sam Smith Was Just Seen Getting Close To

Mommy doesn't know Sam Smith is getting hot in New York City with a potential new beau!

Chart-topping "Unholy" singer Sam Smith has been seen getting up close and personal with celebrity designer Christian Cowan.

While Smith was in NYC for their turn as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live, they were spotted walking arm-in-arm with Cowan. Paparazzi also caught a pic of Smith kissing Cowan on the head while on their walk.

Cowan is known for his glamorous looks and has dressed celebs including Lady Gaga, Lil Nas X, Heidi Klum, Cardi B, and Jennifer Lopez.

Smith's song "Unholy," with Kim Petras, became their latest number-one hit and earned the artist a Grammy nomination. Their new album Gloria drops on January 27.

This isn't the only time they've been seen together. Cowan apparently accompanied Smith when the singer went to get a tattoo recently.

Australian tattoo artist MJ, of Markd Tattoo, posted a picture with Smith and Cowan in their shop. (Smith got a small, red tattoo.)

"At first I didn't believe it when I got an email saying that Sam Smith would like a tattoo from me. Even on the day I thought it was just a hoax," MJ said. "One of my proudest moments as a tattoo artist! Thank you and it was lovely meeting you."

According to Page Six, the two were also seen together while at the signing of the Respect for Marriage Act at the White House in December.

Are the two dating? It's a definite possibility! With the Grammys coming up on February 5, maybe we'll see Smith taking Cowan as their date to the ceremony.
