Up-and-coming talent Diego Zuniga is coming into his own with Petrog, his latest spring/summer collection. The young Mexican designer looked at recent ocean oil spills, and translated a tragic event into a line of futuristic menswear. The palette of black, gray, white, and ultramarine blue stays true to Zuniga's minimalist brand DNA, while his signature mix of technical sportswear and tailoring (using neoprene and microfiber fabrications) is juxtaposed here with oversized tuniques and athletic shorts in fine fabrics, such as silk, wool, or cashmere. One to watch!
