The gays gathered for the grand opening of The Tryst Puerto Vallarta!

Jennifer Coolidge, Demi Lovato, Antoni Porowski, Erika Jayne, Shea Couleé, and more of our favorite LGBTQ+ (and adjacent) celebs gathered for the gayest grand opening of Tryst Hotels in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

"Located in the heart of Puerto Vallarta’s Zona Romántica, The Tryst is a modern Mexican luxury oasis with 53 custom-designed rooms and suites—crafted for gay travelers who expect impeccable hospitality and a little bit of chaos," the press release reads.

Beginning April 25, the hotel hosted a DJ set by RuPaul's Drag Race icons Gottmik & Violet Chachki, a performance by Vincint, an opening night red carpet party hosted by Matt Rogers, a drag brunch hosted by Shea Couleé, a rooftop pool party hosted by Erika Jayne with music from Leland, and all that was just the tip of the iceberg.

“I wanted to create the kind of hotel I was always searching for — where the cocktails are cold, the men are hot, and you can wear the tiniest swimsuit you own without a second glance,” said Tristan Schukraft, founder of Tryst Hotels, in a statement.

“Our grand opening weekend was everything a gay luxury hotel should be — drag queens diving into the pool, DJs lighting up the rooftop, and a sea of friends (and future friends) around every corner. The Tryst is unapologetically gay, effortlessly glamorous, and built for men who crave the finer things… with just the right amount of mischief.”

Antoni Porowski, Jennifer Coolidge, Demi Lovato, Kate del Castillo, Julia Fox, Wendy Guevara, Ts Madison, Sonja Morgan, Laverne Cox, Cynthia Bailey, Plastique Tiara, Chrishell Stause, Chris Appleton, Zane Phillips, Froy Gutierrez, Johnny Sibilly, and Isaac Boots were just a few of the stars spotted celebrating the hotel launch.

The Tryst Puerto Vallarta is now open to the public, but the fun doesn't stop there. The brand will expand to Fire Island later this year, followed by a relaunch of The Tryst San Juan in 2026.
