Here's When Your Favorite Broadway Shows Are Coming Back
It’s finally almost time for Broadway to be back!

After the much-too-long closure of all our favorite musicals thanks to the global pandemic, things are finally starting to reopen on Broadway! There are even opening dates and venues announced! Most of these shows haven't released cast lists just yet, but we couldn't be more excited to finally be able to see all of our favorite musicals on the stage again.
Here is when and where 13 of our favorite Broadway shows will be returning to the Great White Way, with information on how to purchase tickets!
'Hadestown'

The winner of eight Tony Awards based on the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice will return to Broadway September 2 at the Walter Kerr Theatre.
'Chicago'

Come on babe, why don't we paint the town on September 14 when the classic musical Chicago comes back to the stage at the Ambassador Theatre.
'Hamilton'

Lin-Manuel Miranda's hit musical Hamilton is coming back to Broadway on September 14 at the Richard Rogers Theatre. There are even rumors Miranda might be making an appearance in the role that made him a superstar after he appeared on NBC news sporting a small man bun reminiscent of his hair during the production.
'The Lion King'

One of the most beloved musicals on Broadway, The Lion King brings it's dazzling costumes and beautiful songs back to the stage on September 14 at the Minskoff Theatre.
'Wicked'

The classic tale of Elphaba and Galinda from The Wizard of Oz and one of the most successful Broadway musicals of all time also returns on September 14, making that one of the biggest days in Broadway this year. Casting hasn't been announced yet, but we're hoping Alexandra Billings gets to return as Madame Morrible. Wicked will be playing at the Gershwin Theatre.
'Come From Away'

Based on the true 9/11 story of 7,000 airline passengers who were diverted to and stranded in a small Newfoundland town, Tony-winning musical Come From Away returns to the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on September 21.
'Moulin Rouge'

With 14 Tony nominations, including the only person in the Leading Actor category for musicals (Aaron Tveit), Moulin Rouge! is ready to come back to the big stage. The musical adaptation of Baz Luhrmann's classic movie comes back September 24 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
'Tina: The Tina Turner Musical'

This musical, about the life of Tina Turner and featuring her music, will return to Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on October 8. It was recently nominated for twelve Tonys in a season cut short by quarantine.
'Jagged Little Pill'

Fresh off of 15 Tony nominations, Jagged Little Pill, a jukebox musical featuring the songs of Alanis Morissette, will return to Broadway on October 21 at the Broadhurst Theatre.
'Mrs. Doubtfire'

Previews for the Broadway adaptation of the classic family comedy Mrs. Doubtfire begin October 21, with the show officially opening December 5 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.
'The Phantom of the Opera'

The Phantom of the Opera is here, inside the Majestic Theatre starting on October 22.
'Dear Evan Hansen'

After you watch the Ben Platt-starring movie this September, Dear Evan Hansen will be returning to Broadway on December 11th at the Music Box Theatre. Get your tissues ready!
'Company'

Previews begin December 20, and the show opens January 9, 2022, at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre for this revival of the classic Stephen Sondheim-George Furth musical starring Katrina Lenk and the legendary Patti LuPone.
