His advice to young people facing adversity: “Live life boldly as yourself.”

In partnership with Stoli, OUT is proud to spotlight LGBT Heroes of Diversity -- icons who champion the spirit of progress. Aquib Yacoob has done exactly that through his work as the National Organizer of the Women's March. Aquib is the winner of OUT's Heroes of Diversity contest, in which we asked users around the world to nominate someone from their community who advocates for equality and visibility for LGBT individuals. In his interview with Stoli National LGBT Ambassador Patrik Gallineaux, Yacoob discusses what diversity means to him and shares his advice for LGBT youth who are facing adversity.
Click here to watch more of Stoli's "Heroes of Diversity" video series, including RHOD star LeeAnne Locken, singer/songwriter Kym Sims, ballroom legend Twiggy Pucci Garcon, and model/activist Laith Ashley.
Plus, there is still time to RSVP for the New York City tour stop of the 5th Annual Stoli Key West Cocktail Classic, happening today, May 16, at the new Boxers UES. RSVP here.
