Disney just made the Magical Kingdom a little more gay and colorful with a new line of LGBTQ+ Pride-themed merchandise. From the pins and tees to the iconic Mickey Mouse ears in rainbow colors, Disney is going all-in with their new key of inclusivity for guests as well as cast members. The new line of rainbow-colored official Disney products -- which for the first time include the More Color, More Pride flag as well as the Transgender Pride Flag, Bisexual Pride Flag, and Lesbian Pride Flag -- comes just in time for Pride Month, and part of the profits will go to support LGBTQ+ organizations like GSLEN in the US, Diversity Role Models in the UK, Minus 18 in Australia, and trans organization ARELAS in Spain, in addition to others.
"From apparel to accessories to pins and plush and so much more, there are more items in this collection than there are colors in the rainbow!" Anthony Armenia, communications manager of parks, experiences, and products at Disney, said in a statement. "Better yet, in celebration of Pride Month 2021 and the company's Pride collection, The Walt Disney Company is donating funds as part of our ongoing commitment to organizations around the world that support LGBTQ+ communities."
