Pride means celebrating LGBTQ culture everywhere, land and sea. In fact, some of the most thrilling Pride events took place in a seaside paradise. The Pride Party At Sea and Miami Pride events, presented by Celebrity Cruises, proved that a tropical escape can be fully inclusive. The massive Pride party, which took over the entire Celebrity Cruises fleet outside the Galapagos, kicked off with the official Pride Flag Raising ceremony. The meaningful moment, let everyone know that LGBTQ people can feel at home when at sea with Celebrity Cruises.
Celebrity’s crew weren’t afraid to show their support for the LGBTQ community at the second annual largest Pride Party at Sea, held across 9 stunning Celebrity ships. All dressed up and with everywhere to go – the fleet sails from the Caymans to the Alaskan Pacific – employees made sure their ship was a welcoming one for people of all identities during the high energy Pride Party.
And what would Pride be without the members of the LGBTQ community we are most proud of? Olympic medalist and America’s gay sweetheart Adam Rippon made a special appearance on the Celebrity Summit® – making all the guests' hearts pump a little faster.
This candid moment captures these two in the heat of the party, flaunting some of the endless Pride swag given to guests. It takes the stress out of finding the perfect rainbow outfit for Pride when Celebrity Cruises is handing out headbands, flutter flags, and paddle fans.
Celebrity Cruises backs the LGBTQ community on and off their ships. Dressed in tropical pastels, employees marched in the Miami Pride parade (where Celebrity is the title sponsor) showing their support for queer people on land and sea.
This adorable tyke is decked out for the Miami parade. While uninformed people try to paint LGBTQ culture as an adult and crass world, Miami Pride was a family-friendly celebration of identity for all ages.
The energy was high at Miami Pride, with old and new friends bonding over the simple message of equality. People celebrated brotherhood, sisterhood, and everything in between all over the streets, showing off their Pride signs and styles.
