Desiree Akhavan Explores Fluidity in Hulu's The Bisexual Trailer

Coming out as gay is hard enough. But try coming out as bisexual to all your gay friends. Desiree Akhavan's new Hulu series explores that stigma in comically honest fashion.

In The Bisexual, Akhavan plays Leila, a New Yorker in London who's fresh off a breakup from her long-term girlfriend, Sadie (Maxine Peake). As if seeing her ex everyday at their joint tech company wasn't hard enough, Leila now has to come to terms with her attraction to men.

Coming out as bisexual to your friends who know you as gay isn't as easy as it would seem. But her new flatmate, Gabe (Brian Gleeson) helps her navigate this newfound sexual fluidity.

All episodes of The Bisexual are available November 16 on Hulu. Watch the trailer below:
