She's the best thing left on this planet.

Here's the scoop: Earlier this week, Lorde purchased a smoothie at NYC's Liquiteria, and really hit it off with her server, a young girl named Emely Paula Medina, who soon after posted to Twitter explaining the New Zealand songstress was the first famous person she'd blended up some berries for. Medina shared this video:

Later in the day, Medina received a message from Lorde on Twitter, inviting her to "come to the Governor's Ball on me." She naturally thought this could only be a hoax, but the Melodrama singer insisted she was serious, and had been "too shy" to ask in person. Sweetie!

Medina responded with gratitude and bewilderment:

And she followed up with a declaration that she'd be purchasing some spectacles:

Surprise, surprise, we've found another reason that we love our Lorde and savior! Hew album, Melodrama, is out June 16, which also happens to be the day our lives finally take a turn for the better. And here's some more important data: a new Lorde single is scheduled to come out this Friday, June 2.

Governor's Ball will take place this weekend in New York, from June 2-4.
