The official music video for Troye Sivan's "Party," the new single off his upcoming She's the Best album, is a go-for-baroque mix of armor, amore and erotica. There's something for every kind of couple, orientation and kink.

Plus, it's got a driving beat that out gay director Gordon von Steiner brings to life in scenes that range from warfare to love affair, transporting the viewer to a far sexier version of the Middle Ages than you read about in history class.

The video starts with Sivan straddling a steed as a silver knight, riding into battle, as the one and only Sir Ian McKellen provides a dramatic narration to set up the premise. After a long day clobbering the enemy, medieval men and women want nothing more than to get it on and party like it's 1099.

"The conquest is nearly behind us," intones the legendary out gay actor, famous for his roles in The Lord of the Rings and X-Men movies. "Fires blaze from one end of the realm to the other. And what is victory if not celebrated? For at long last, a party."

Sivan's suit of armor, clearly well-equipped for male excitement, is then exchanged for flowy drip that is easily doffed for a romp with a man that one of the pop star's fans on X hailed as revealing, "Troye Sivan is a top!"

Sivan is also seen leading a company of mostly male dancers, choreographed by Sergio Reis, in a mingling of marching, fencing and freaking in settings where every day is, well, a party.

As Pitchfork reported, Sivan built "Party" around a prominent sample of Madonna’s single from 2000, ā€œMusic.ā€

ā€œDance music sounds very different on a dance floor than it does coming out of your laptop speaker,ā€ Sivan said in a press release to accompany the release of the ā€œPartyā€ music video. ā€œThe repetition becomes almost hypnotic, and I wanted to play with structure in that way.ā€

The video reunites Sivan with von Steiner, who also directed the video for the title track of the album that drops next month, She's the Best, as well as "Rush" from 2023. As Out reported, Reis was the choreographer for that video as well. As in "Rush," the video for "Party" doesn't have any big-name stars, unlike "She's the Best," which featured fellow Aussie Nicole Kidman.

In this video, the director, lead actor and pop star don't hold back when it comes to bringing the viewer into its many venues for sex, as Sivan says: "Party in the park. Party in the bush. Party under the bridge. Party at the restaurant. Party at the club. Party in the day. Party in my house. Party on the way to the party at the park."

We see straight couples and a few brief sapphic scenes, but the dominant focus is on men seducing one another with blades and their booties, which one popular account on X described as "homoeroticism made by gays hits different." Watch the music video below!
