Cole Escola Witnesses Murder in True Crime Parody

cole escola

Someone give him an Emmy.

If you binged Making a Murderer on Netflix, you'll love Cole Escola's new video. The comedian and YouTube star took on the true crime genre to serve a chillingly hilarious parody.

In the video, he plays Tracy Bortlet, who was the coworker of a ruthless serial killer, named Tim. She recounts the shy man who knew of her affinity for Oreos, parked his car in shady places and dragged dead horses through restaurants. He also killed his sister, but the most chilling account has to be from Tracy's sister, Didi, who had CDs stolen from her car.

Escola knows how to turn a parody of a common television performance. In 2015, he spoofed the typical commercial housewife in an ad for Happy Orange. After his character realized she was serving her children more than the daily recommended amount of sugar, she skipped town for Scottsdale where she took up dog fighting, death metal and cocaine.

Escola performs June 14, July 10 and August 16 at Joe's Pub. Watch him give his eye witness account, below:
