Britney Spears Sang 'Can't Help Falling in Love' On Instagram Because 'Silence = Death'

Inspired by Madonna's World AIDS Day post in which the Queen of Pop covered Britney Spears' "Toxic" -- an interesting tribute to a a day commemorating the lives lost to a horrific plague -- Spears decided to film her own tribute as a way to celebrate her birthday: a single-shot performance of Elvis' "Can't Help Falling in Love." The reason behind Spears' tribute? Silence = death.

I was really inspired yesterday by @madonna's post. She's right... silence = death! These words really stuck with me, because they are so true. I've always wanted to do a performance like this... singing in a pretty little black dress, with a simple 360, one take shot! I figured since it was my birthday, why not go for it?! So boom When the clock struck 12:00, I did it!!! Thank you all for the beautiful birthday wishes, and for letting me do what I love. I appreciate you more than you will ever know!!!!

It's a surprisingly good vocal performance, yet the context is...weird. Britney references Madonna's homage to the iconic ACT UP slogan, yet says nothing about World AIDS Day. Does Britney...not know about AIDS? Can someone please tell Britney about AIDS?
