Frank Ocean Curates 32-Page Photo Diary for i-D

Frank Ocean has graced us with the rare gift of his presence. In an exclusive for i-D's Winter 2017 "The Sounding Off" issue, the ethereal musician shot two covers for the magazine and curated a 32-page photo diary from his summer festival tours. Among the photos are a shot of filmmaker Spike Jonze, who filmed many of his performances, as well as a few self-portraits.

Alongside the photo diary is a personal essay penned by the artist that offers a peak inside his mind. This means references to the Rick and Morty McDonalds Szechuan sauce fiasco, Karl Lagerfeld, and a Tim Ferriss podcast he listens to onstage. It ends with the promise that "if you liked two thousand and seventeen then you'll love two thousand and eighteen."

You can answer a lot of questions with "Yes." But you can answer many more with "No." No is run-of-the-mill. Yes is a gem. Whenever I feel alone I watch live television, something about it being okay on their end makes it okay on mine. Onstage one in-ear is my mic feed and the other one is a Tim Ferriss podcast.
