"Dear Satan, please don't take Marilyn Manson from us, he's done so much for you."
During a show at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom on Saturday night, Marilyn Manson was injured onstage when the scenery collapsed on top of him. While performing his infamous cover of Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)," Manson made the seemingly ill-advised decision to treat the set like a jungle gym, leading to the accident.

Concertgoer Yousif Al Zaid told The Guardian that "all of a sudden [Manson] climbed on to the two guns ... At end of the song he bent over holding one of the poles [on the prop] and tipped over. Then it all went silent and you could hear a pin drop. Everyone rushed to him and there were rumours he was dead. Then they brought out a stretcher and he was taken away." Another anonymous attendee had a different take. "From my view point in the front row it didn't look like he put that much weight on it [the prop] when it started tipping. He tried to brace himself and push it back but it completely tipped and fell on him. Two or three of his crew members rushed to get it off of him quickly."
The Internet is abuzz with fans wishing Manson a speedy recovery.
