For the first time in nine years, Britney Spears will take the stage at the MTV VMAs.
It's expected that Britney will promote her new single, "Make Me," the first track released from her upcoming album, Glory.
Britney, who's earned a reputation for pushing boundaries during her past VMA performances, will no doubt have us screaming behind our TV screens. From her steamy kiss with Madonna, in 2003, to her sexy strip tease (below), complete with giant white python, in 2001, the question on everyone's mind is: What will Britney do next?
The pop icon announced her performance with a social media post captioned "it's not just a stage. It's a story...". It also includes a teaser video:
Britney hasn't taken the stage at the VMAs since 2007, an infamous year for the star, who was hitting a rough patch with the press at the time. This will be her chance to make a triumphant return, and her highly-anticipated comeback performance is bound to be one for the books.
But what else would we expect: It's Britney, b*tch!
The MTV VMAs will air on August 28th.
