Last night's Emmys included big wins for Transparent: Show creator Jill Soloway won for comedy directing, and Jeffrey Tambor won for lead comedy actor. Plus, Bradley Whitford won for guest actor for his role on the show at the Creative Arts Emmys.

And it seems the next season will only be more exciting. Anjelica Huston will appear in three episodes of Amazon's ambitious series, Soloway revealed to Variety at a pre-Emmy party. She'll be playing a "new friend" to Tambor's character Maura.

"They have a lot of chemistry...palpable chemistry!" Soloway said concerning Huston and Tambor's characters' on-screen affinity. "It was palpable. I was directing them together and watching through the monitor."

Huston's last regular TV role was playing Eileen Rand on NBC's musical series Smash. She also had a small, but pivotal, voice role in the first season of Netflix's animated series Bojack Horseman.

Soloway said she had some big plans for the second season of the Amazon series, describing it as "wacky" and "weird."

Huston joins Hari Nef, the actress and IMG's recently signed transgender model, and photographer Petra Collins on the new season.
