The Fosters, this year's new ABC Family drama about two married moms and their brood of five kids (a blend of biological, adopted, and fostered), is so real it hurts. Co-creators Bredeweg and Paige, showrunner Johnson (who has two kids with her wife), and producer Gugliotta landed Jennifer Lopez as an executive producer, and their passionate viewers propelled the show past right-wing boycotts to score a second season.
