Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper performed "Shallow" live for the first time over the weekend, and it was oooh aaaaaAAaaaaaaaa-aaahhhhh aaah haaaaAAAAaaaaahh haaaAAaaAAaaaaAAAAAAHHHHHH pretty good.
It all happened Saturday at Lady Gaga Enigma, the singer's Las Vegas residency at the Park MGM, USA Today reports. Gaga closed the show with an encore performance of "Shallow," just as she does every other night, but this time she pulled her A Star is Born co-star onstage to join her.
Cooper, who appears to have been watching Enigma from the audience, joked about not knowing what to do with his in-ear microphones. "Jackson never used these," he said. (Jackson is the name of the character Cooper plays in A Star is Born, in case you are Nell from the movie Nell.) With Gaga's help, he figured them out, and the two went on to deliver a solid performance of the song -- Gaga's wacky kneeling and all.
Though Gaga has been performing "Shallow" live for the past month at her Vegas residency, this marks the first time that she and Cooper have performed it live together. The two are also scheduled to perform "Shallow" at next month's Academy Awards, where the A Star is Born showstopper is up for Best Original Song.
