Dictionary.com Just Educated Fox News After Transphobic Error

"Transgender is an adjective, not a noun."

It's 2018, and nobody really expects Fox News to be fully woke to the common human decency that is social justice. But a recent broadcast included a transphobic error that made social media cringe.

"That transgender beat the 14-year-old," said Ainsley Earhardt, in reference to Christine Hallquist, the United States' first transgender major party nominee for governor.

It's no surprise that some on social media took notice of the flub and called it out. Even Chelsea Clinton spoke up, to which Hallquist responded with gratitude of support she's recieved and some helpful gender pronouns. But it's a tweet from Dictionary.com that's made its way around the internet, which serves as great education and an even greater clapback to Fox News.

They also followed up with a tweet showing support of trans people and gender pronouns.

Thank you Dictionary.com for reminding Fox News that reading is fundamental!
