NYC Protests Trump's Transgender Military Ban
When news broke yesterday of Trump's decision to ban transgender people from the military, New York quickly organized a rally outside the US Army Career Center in Times Square. Protesters waved signs with the word, "Resist," colored in like the transgender flag, while others encouraged the President to "Support All Our Troops." Among notable attendees was Tommy Dorfman, who held high the message, "Demand Justice, Fight Hate," and Drag Race's first openly trans competitor, Peppermint, who spoke candidly about her experience as a marginalized American.
