Remember when Trump retweeted alt-right Islamophobic videos and was condemned by world leaders and the public alike? It turns out that Twitter finally realized what was going on and has now suspended the account responsible for originally airing said clips.
To recap, late last month Trump retweeted three videos posted by Jayda Fransen, the deputy leader of the United Kingdom's far-right ultranaturalist political party "Britain First." The videos depict men committing violent acts, with captions alleging those men are Muslim.
Britain's Prime Minister, Theresa May, publicly condemned Trump's retweets and called Britain First an organization that tells "hate-filled narratives to peddle lies and stoke tensions."

Now, at last, Twitter seems to be waking up to what's going on, and this morning suspended Fransen's account, in addition to the account of Britain First.
Let us be clear that the authenticity of the videos Trump posted have been widely disputed--Dutch authorities denied that a video titled "Muslim migrant beats up Dutch boy on crutches" involved any migrants at all, and a video titled "Islamist mob pushes teenage boy off roof and beats him to death" was filmed in Egypt during the overthrow of president Mohamed Morsi.
Still, White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders reassures us neither she nor Trump seem to care if the videos are real: "Whether it is a real video, the threat is real. And, that is what the president is talking about, that is what the president is focused on, is dealing with those real threats... You're focusing on the wrong thing. The threats are real. And that is what the president is talking about."
