Lil Nas X Just Teased His Upcoming Debut Album in Avenger-Like Fashion

Who's ready to enter the Montero Cinematic Universe?!

Just like a lot of us, Lil Nas X is probably a really big Marvel fan.

Taking to social media yesterday, the Grammy-winning, out rapper and songwriter released a teaser trailer for his upcoming album MONTERO that was totally inspired by the iconic opening sequence that plays at the beginning of all of Marvel Studios' big, box-office films -- and our nerdy queer hearts were swelling with excitement!

"MONTERO THE DEBUT ALBUM COMING SOON!" X captioned the trailer (which features clips of some of his most memorable work over the past two years, like "Old Town Road," "Panini," and "Holiday") letting his fans and followers know that his highly-anticipated studio debut is on the horizon and coming soon (though no official release date has been announced just yet).

And it has already been a super busy week for X.

The release of the trailer for his debut album comes on the heels of an unapologetically queer performance of his latest bop "MONTERO (Call Me by Your Name)" that he gave at this past Sunday's BET Awards in Los Angeles.

After walking the red carpet in a custom, floral Andrea Grossi gown, X donned an all-gold ensemble and rocked out on stage for an Egyptian-themed performance with a large group of shirtless men to perform his headline-making single. He then concluded his performance by making out with one of his dancers, and it was a moment that had so many people buzzing online.

We can't quite put our finger on it, but we can already tell this summer is going to belong to our very own musical superhero, and we can't wait to see what more X has in store for us!
