The Way He Looks is Brazil's entry for this year's Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but even if it's not selected, it's already set tongues wagging around the world.

This first feature film by director Daniel Ribeiro took home the Teddy Award at the Berlin Film Festival and received rave reviews following its Brazilian opening in April. With little more than a week before the November 7 U.S. release in cinemas, we have an exclusive clip to whet the American appetite.

The scene shows Gabriel (Fabio Audi) helping the blind high-schooler Leonardo (Ghilherme Lobo) into a shower. The new guy in school, Gabriel develops a fast friendship with Leonardo -- one that allows the latter's blindness to enrich, rather than detract from, their relationship. A heartwarming coming-of-age story, this NSFW clip reveals that even the racier scenes are approached with a delicate tenderness, one that permeates the whole of Ribeiro's portrayal of unexpected forays into first love.
