In case you missed it earlier this morning, Seth MacFarlane and Emma Stone announced the 2013 Oscar nominations for the 85th Annual Academy Awards. Seth joked why these are not done at noon--we couldn't agree more.
Lincoln leads the Oscar "race" with 12 nominations, including Best Picture, Director (for Steven Spielberg) and acting honors for Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, and Tommy Lee Jones. And let's not forgot Tony Kushner, for Best Adapted Screenplay. There are a total of nine nominees for best picture.
Les Miserables received several nominations as well, including Best Picture, Actor, Supporting Actress, and Best Original Song for "Suddenly"--a nice way to say stick it to the Twitter rants started by Adam Lambert. An Out favorite, Skyfall also receieved noms for Best Picture and Best Original Song for Adele's "Skyfall."
