Jennifer Flavin, Sylvester Stallone's wife, recently appeared on a podcast hosted by Katie Miller, a former spokesperson for the Trump administration.

During the conversation, Miller asked the former model about her theory on why we are now seeing so many more openly transgender children of celebrities in Hollywood: "Is there something in the water in Hollywood?"

"I just think Hollywood is, you know, it’s all about expression," Flavin said. " If you feel like a cat today, you’re a cat. And it’s so loosey-goosey. I don’t think that we’re really understanding that these kids are not our accessories. They’re little human beings that need structure. And structure is really important for them because it helps their brain organize everything."

She went on to say that not enough direct parenting occurs in these homes, attributing to the wealth of luxuries these people have at their fingertips. "I think growing up in a Hollywood home, there’s really no structure because you have this thing going, and you’ve got private planes."

Adding, "And you’ve got all these giant homes with chefs and secretaries and assistants and, you know, housekeepers and nannies," the mother of four shared. "And there’s just too much of everything. It gets really confusing for a little person."

Flavin thinks that "it’s OK what you decide to be as an adult," but maintains that parents should strive to raise their kids with "good common sense." She said she embraced her daughter's tomboy childhood, saying, "I mean, my daughters were all tomboys. “They preferred to wear pants than dresses, you know? And they loved sports. But I never said, ‘Oh, you’re a boy now.’ I just said, ‘You love to play sports, you love to hang out with boys, that’s awesome.’”

Her comments come as more A-list celebrities show support for their trans and nonbinary children, including Robert De Niro, Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade, Cher, Charlize Theron, Marlon Wayans, Jamie Lee Curtis, and the list continues to grow.
