"I love how in the article you said, 'Put your money where your mouth is.' Genius!!!" the pop star wrote. "Let's link and build together and see if you can do the same."

Chappell Roan has clapped back at a critical op-ed from guest columnist Jeff Rabhan published in The Hollywood Reporter.

In the op-ed, which was derided as "condescending" by critics, Rabhan called Roan "Chappell Groan" and "too green too and too uninformed" after the "Pink Pony Club" singer called on the music industry on the Grammys stage to support up-and-coming artists, like she once was, with health care and a living wage.

Rabhan told Roan in the article to "put your money where your mouth is." And it appears she accepted the challenge. In a new post to Instagram Stories, Roan called on Rabhan to match a $25,000 donation to struggling artists.

"@jeffrabhan wanna match me $25k to donate to struggling dropped artists?" she wrote. "My publicist is @biz3publicity. Let's talk."

Roan delivered her headline-grabbing speech Sunday while accepting the 2025 Grammy Award for Best New Artist. In it, the "Good Luck, Babe!" singer recalled losing access to health care after being dropped by a record label and asked music executives to do better.

Roan shared a selfie in a subsequent Instagram story, writing:

"Will keep everyone updated on the much awaited @jeffrabhan response!! And I will show receipts of the donations."

The pop star added, "Mr. Rabhan I love how in the article you said 'put your money where your mouth is.' Genius!!! Let's link and build together and see if you can do the same."

These clapbacks directed at Rabhan continued with Roan listing up-and-coming musicians that she'd like to recommend.

"In the meantime, here are some artists that deserve more love and a bigger platform," she wrote.
