Spooky season is upon us!
That’s right, it’s time for pumpkin carving, cozy sweaters, and cheesy Halloween decorations. That also means it’s time to start watching all the scary movies you can handle on one horrifying reality TV show.
But if you'd rather hide under the covers with all the lights on than watch something spooky, there is a heartwarming animated show, a brand-new Alan Cumming joint, and plenty of queer dramas to keep you entertained all month long.

‘The Celebrity Traitors’ Series 2 — October 1
Host Claudia Winkleman will welcome an eclectic mix of people and personalities ranging from BAFTA and BRIT Award winners to social media stars — plus some of the U.K.’s most cherished actors, comedians, presenters, and beyond. In the latest iteration of the popular reality show, celebrities — among them, The Last of Us's Bella Ramsey — question who they can and can’t really trust, figure out who deserves to be banished and try to discover which of them is plotting murder under the cover of darkness.

A Steinbeck classic gets a fresh interpretation. East of Eden will explore the multigenerational saga of the Trask family, focusing new attention on its indelible antihero, Cathy.

‘Tip Toe’ — October 2
Alan Cumming plays Leo Struthers, a gay man who owns the Spit & Polish bar in Manchester's Gay Village. David Morrissey plays his next-door neighbor, Clive Goss, a troubled, underemployed electrician. They've been neighbors for nearly 15 years, but their seemingly ordinary relationship gradually deteriorates as tensions, radicalized opinions, and hostility enter their lives.

'Big Girls Don't Cry' — October 9
14-year-old Sid finds herself caught between her own burgeoning sexual curiosity and the desire for acceptance from an older group of girls. As she delves deeper into rebellion, she leaves behind a trail of destruction, navigating the complexities of adolescence and self-discovery.

'Avatar: Seven Havens' — October 9

'R.L. Stine's Pumpkinhead 2' — October 9
When a fresh Pumpkinhead curse awakens in the town of Redhaven, characters Sam and Becka have to figure out how to stop it before the entire town is overtaken in this horror film by queer and nonbinary director Jem Garrard.

'VisionQuest' — October 14
A rebooted Vision has been hiding from those who seek to weaponize him. While laying low he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including the infamous Ultron, to find his true meaning. This quiet life of self-reflection ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run alongside Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son reincarnate.
VisionQuest premieres on Wednesday, October 14, on Disney+.
‘La Bola Negra’ — October 16
La Bola Negra tells the story of three men whose lives are intimately connected through desire, pain, and inheritance, across three different eras -- 1932, 1937, and 2017. ‘Street Fighter’ — October 16
Gay country music star Orville Peck is making his screen debut playing Vega in Street Fighter. Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s game over!

'Yaga' — October 23
Based on the hit play by showrunner and writer Kat Sandler, YAGA follows Rapp (Noah Reid, Schitt’s Creek, The Vampire Lestat), a private investigator who arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of a young heir to a powerful fishery, Henry Park (Hudson Williams, Heated Rivalry).
