Bosco, star of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, has been suspended from X (formerly known as Twitter) following a hilarious impersonation.
On July 15, the reality TV star and current Season 10 finalist changed her name and thumbnail photo from Bosco to appear as if she was the official Rupaul's Drag Race account, and began posting things like, "For the first time in Drag Race #HERSTORY, we have given RuPaul a gun!"
Another post reads, "If Raven and Raja do not give 'Top Toot of the Week' to Bosco this week we will be terminating their contracts with @WorldOfWonder."
Bosco even took the time to troll her Drag Race sisters. After fellow Season 10 star Denali replied "lollllllll" to one of her posts, Bosco responded, "You were eliminated! But your voice still matters. Are you #TeamBosco?" Lana Jarae also responded to the account, writing "omg wait not you gagged me," to which Bosco replied, "Sometimes things are confusing. Let's make it easy for you. Comment #TeamBosco below."
Bosco was swiftly suspended from the social media platform following the exchanges.
According to X's authenticity page, impersonation of other accounts is not allowed. "You may not impersonate other identities of individuals, groups, or organizations to deceive others," the rules read. "Although you are not required to display your real identity on your profile, your account should not use false profile information to impersonate others."
Though her account has been suspended, screenshots of the posts have been preserved online and are still circulating around social media. The hubbub has also incited a "Free Bosco" movement, where each post is earning tens of thousands of likes.
Following her suspension, other Drag Race stars also gave their two cents on the matter.
Season 16 star Suzie Toot wrote, "rest in peace bosco’s twitter. it was worth it."
Denali posted, "Boscoooooo nooooo," alongside a crying emoji, to which Season 12 star Jan replied, "sick to my f--king stomach."
Bosco hasn't publicly commented on the silly controversy, but she did repost a tagged photo that reads "free bosco" on her Instagram story, alongside a screenshot of one of the tweets.
The drag superstar and troll is set to appear on the finale of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 10, streaming this Friday on Paramount+.
