The Barbie costars shared the stage at the 2024 Oscars to perform “I’m Just Ken” alongside Ncuti Gatwa, Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Mark Ronson.

This is the Ken-ergy we appreciate!

On Sunday, Mar. 10, Ryan Gosling delivered the highly-anticipated performance of “I’m Just Ken” at the 96th Academy Awards alongside music producer Mark Ronson and Barbie costars Scott Evans, Ncuti Gatwa, Simu Liu, and Kingsley Ben-Adir. The actor also went out to the audience to spotlight Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig in the performance.

But one of the most interesting parts of the performance takes place during Slash’s guitar solo. While the “Kens” are dancing in a line in the background, Gosling invites Evans to join him upfront. Evans walks toward Gosling, who envelops Evans in his arms, and Evans then kisses Gosling on the cheek.

Let’s just say that Evans gave us absolute gay representation in this moment with Gosling!

Earlier this Sunday, Evans spoke to Out on the 2024 Oscars red carpet and talked about all the Ken-ergy he’s still carrying with him. The actor also noted that he’s not a coffee drinker but did drink some caffeine before attending the Academy Awards ceremony. Now we totally understand what he was preparing for — that was quite a dance-heavy sequence, sis!

Evans also told Out that this was his first time walking the Oscars red carpet, and that he was still processing the Barbie pink mania that has taken over the world since last year. “What’s funny is that I remember, last summer, anyone I saw [wearing] pink I was like, ‘They must be going to see Barbie,’” he joked. “And it was like, ‘No, no, Barbie doesn’t own the color.’ People wear pink on their own.”

What a wild and fabulous night for Scott Evans at the Oscars. We LOVE to see it!

Barbie is now streaming on Max.
