'Red, White & Royal Blue' Is Teaching Straights That Gays Can Do Missionary

"Movies can actually function as a form of sex ed!"

While Amazon Prime Video’s Red, White & Royal Blue is a gay movie, it has a large and devoted fan base of (largely straight) women. And most of those women seem to be completely shocked to learn that yes, gay men can indeed have missionary sex.

In one of the steamiest scenes in the movie, Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) and Alex Claremont-Diaz (Taylor Zakhar Perez) are having sex for the first time when they get in a position that apparently surprised a lot of straights watching the movie.

In the scene, Prince Henry is lying on his back, with his knees in the air, as Alex climbs in between his legs on top of him. It’s a classic missionary setup, one of the most common ways to have sex. But apparently, for straight people, it was also a revolutionary scene that expanded their minds.

One of the most popular tweets showing confusion over the sex position shows a Twitter user with the username Grace simply asking the question, “Gay guys can do missionary?”

When a gay man replies with “Why wouldn’t they?” she responds, “Seems hard to get to the bum that way hahahah. Happy for them though! Best position!!” (A lot of gay men would agree with that last part!)

The official RWRB Twitter account even commented, saying “it’s my honor” to teach the straights this simple sexual fact.

Plenty of gay men took to Twitter to joke about the widespread discovery.

While some joked about their delight in seeing straight women so fascinated by gay sex, others joked that their straight friends knew all about it from fanfic.

Red, White & Royal Blue is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
