Ding dong — there's someone at the door.

So begins this exclusive clip from Blue Film, Elliot Tuttle's controversial new film about a cam boy, Aaron Eagle (Kieron Moore), who is promised $50,000 by an older man, Hank Grant (Reed Birney), to spend one night with him.

The clip shows the pair face-to-face for the first time — as adults, anyway. Throughout the evening, many shocking truths are unveiled, including the fact that Hank used to be Aaron's teacher, who lost his job due to allegations of child abuse.

Blue Film was banned from major festivals due to its subject matter — and audience members at the Edinburgh International Film Festival even walked out. However, the production, which is now out in select theaters, was named a New York Times critic's pick and was also praised by Them, Out's sibling site, as "the year's most challenging movie" and also "the best so far."

In an Out digital cover story about Blue Film, Tuttle encouraged potential viewers to look beyond the online outrage of its subject matter. "I hope this movie will spark numerous conversations. Everyone's entitled to their emotions and the subject matter. I would encourage people to try and sit with that discomfort. Push your own boundaries, and test your morality. You want a polarizing film! I don't want lukewarm. Strong opinions are great opinions," Moore said.

See the exclusive clip of Blue Film ahead — and catch a screening in NYC at IFC or in Los Angeles at Landmark Theatres.
