Calvin Klein Collection and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) hosted a special event on Wednesday to support the HRC's Americans for Marriage Equality initiative.

In front of an audience of artists, models, and media celebrities, Christine Quinn, Speaker of the New York City Council and mayoral hopeful, praised the HRC's efforts for "not giving up" on equality and commended the Calvin Klein brand for its ongoing support with the campaign, which was launched at its Madison Avenue flagship store in November 2011.

Celebrity couples Jesse Tyler Ferguson with fiancé Justin Mikita and Neil Patrick Harris with fiancé David Burtka listened as Quinn shared her personal experience of marrying her long-time partner Kim Catullo. Her speech was followed by more words of encouragement from Lloyd Blankfein, CEO of Goldman Sachs and member of the event's host committee.

Later in the evening, the guests sipped on champagne and mingled. Host commitee members Uma Thurman and Alan Cumming were spotted chatting with TV stars Andrew Rannells and Dan Stevens, while Bill Cunnigham snapped a few shots of their Calvin Klein Collection outfits.
