Myar's S/S 19 Collection Reimagines British & Indian Military Uniforms
Myar's Spring 19 collection is titled "Khaki" and explores a deconstruction of British and Indian military uniforms. The brand's name is derived from an anagram of "army," and was created by Andrea Rosso, who's currently working as the Creative Director of Diesel licensed products.
"Khaki is deeply linked with the concept of work, sacrifice, fatigue and cultural integration," explains a press release. "British soldiers used to dress in off-white when they were building infrastructures across the Indian continent. The color of the soil on the white uniforms inspired the khaki color."
The collection mixes khaki colors and patterns with splashes of vibrant hues.
"Workwear serves as major inspiration for the collection, which features utilitarian white trousers and short pants decorated with contrasting khaki and gold tapes."
