Patrick Ervell Spring '18 Packs on the '90s Hiker Vibes
Patrik Ervell's spring '18 show saw the designer return to his '90s San Francisco roots, employing lots of nylon in reference to the hiking culture prevalent throughout the Bay Area. He told WWDthat the collection is very "nostalgic," speaking to the baggy, wide silhouettes--a combination of Patagonia hiker and industrial construction worker, given a sharp edge with severe lines and color blocking. Shiny pleather shorts and chunky sneakers were prevalent throughout, as were button-down shirts that looked like they were constructed from plastic bags.
