'American Classics' by Calvin Klein (Photography: Willy Vandeperre)
Just days ahead of his NYFW debut as Calvin Klein's new chief creative officer, Raf Simons has released a campaign set against iconic American art from Andy Warhol, Richard Prince and Sterling Ruby. The series, photographed by Willy Vandeperre, is titled "American Classics" and features styling by Olivier Rizzo--the same team that created Simons' Robert Mapplethorpe-inspired Campaign.

On Calvin Klein's site, Simons described the campaign as "a celebration of Calvin Klein's iconic underwear and jeans; acknowledging their status as Pop and showing them in the world of art," The brand's creative director Pieter Mulier added that "looks were specifically chosen from the Calvin Klein archive for the campaign; it's both a recognition of design firsts and the photographic history of the brand that made these garments famous."
