Fashion devotees rejoice! Rihanna, perennial Met Gala head-turner and jaw-dropper, has been chosen as a co-host for the 2018 edition of the party. Joining Rihanna for the event, which marks the opening of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute's annual exhibit, is designer Donatella Versace and human rights lawyer Amal Clooney.

Receiving the torch from last year's hosts Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, Gisele Bundchen, and Tom Brady, 2018's trio will work with the theme "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination." We can't even begin to speculate the iconic fashion moments that will be born with a theme so predisposed to controversy in interpretation--we're looking at you, Madonna.
Looking at Met Galas past, the 2018 hosts form a diverse trifecta of contemporary, strong, mindful women who each bring something unique to the table. Versace's contributions to the fashion world are unquestionable and numerous, Rihanna's been the standout at her last two Met Galas (last year in Comme des Garcons, and in Guo Pei in 2015), and Clooney is a constant reminder of what a strong, confident woman looks like.
Now, the most burning question remains: what will they wear?
