Michelle Obama uses designer friend of Lady Gaga for her state dinner dress.
Michelle Obama attended the White House state dinner last night wearing a beautiful white gown designed by Brandon Maxwell, Lady Gaga's stylist turned designer, who's responsible for some of the pop star's most iconic looks.
The first lady complemented the sleeveless dress with a pair of Butani diamond earrings. Subtlety was key as she finished off the look with her hair pinned back in an updo as she dined with the guests of honor, prime minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong and his wife Ho Ching.
However, the dress shares many features with the pantsuit worn by Lady Gaga earlier this year at the Oscars, also designed by Maxwell.
Some immediate differences include the attached pant legs and the sweetheart neckline. Gaga also wore minimal accessories, rocking a stunning pair of emerald cut diamond earrings with a bob style cut.
But who wore it best?
