If sexy Miguel Angel Silvestre (the hottie pictured above) is any indication, there's gonna be plenty of steamy Spanish sexiness on screen in Pedro Almodovar's latest--just like the good ol days! As you can see from this new trailer, I'm So Excited will involve, lots of drugs, lots of dancing, lots of sex (or at least insinuations to it), lots of cameos from Almodovar regulars (Antonio is back! And not as a creepy sex-changing doctor!).
Favorite patter so far: "What did you put in this cocktail," psychic asks.
Flight attendant responds: "An overdose of mescaline."
Carmen Maura hams it up (yes!), and the lovely Penelope Cruz tries to look all blue collar by wearing a neon vest and waving--while running over an innocent bystander? Why not?
Just check out the IMDB description: "When it appears as though the end is in sight, the pilots, flight crew, and passengers of a plane heading to Mexico City look to forget the anguish of the moment." Does this mean the producer-writer-director is jumping on-board the trend of apocalyptic comedies? One other morsel muy interesante: the original title of the film was Los Amantes Pasajeros, which means, literally, the lover-passengers.
Sony Pictures will release I'm So Excited in June. And you can rest assured we will have exclusive photos, stories, and more about Almodovar's latest.
